Deep tissue uses pressure and leverage to release muscle tension and other soft tissue restrictions by direct interaction.

Pressure is applied to the entire length of the muscle but there is focus on the belly or thickest part of the muscle as this is where more of the stress is stored.

The heavier pressure applied allows the deeper tension in the muscle to be released which many times is the root of the problem.
